13th Annual Heat for the Needy Program a Complete Success!

On January 28th, TUDI Mechanical and Standard Air & Lite, along with other vendors donated their time and materials for the 13th annual Heat for the Needy program.  This year, 11 free furnaces/boilers were installed in homes around the Pittsburgh area, that could not afford to purchase new heating systems. For the first time, an electrical project was added to the program.  Wiring and fixtures were replaced, bringing the home up to code, making it safe.  Volunteers arrived at the TUDI office at 6:30am for breakfast, followed by an inspirational speech by WTAE news anchor, Mike Clark.  All volunteers were on the road to their installation by 8:30am.  Heat for the Needy replaced heating systems for homes in Lawrenceville, Hazelwood, Brighton Heights, Morningside, Penn Hills, Verona and Wilkinsburg, just to name a few.
